Questar Ill BOCES has an immediate need for a full-time Student Support Counselor at the STEM High School located on HVCC Campus.
This position follows the 10-month school calendar with options for additional days over the summer. This position serves in the role of supporting students with their social and emotional needs as they navigate through the program.
Responsibilities include providing one-on-one counseling, developing and implementing community building initiatives that foster a sense of belonging among students, promotion of equity and inclusion so all students feel valued, respected and represented, working with the leadership team to facilitate conflict resolution using restorative practices, overseeing the peer mentorship program and continuously developing methods to promote the recognition and appreciation for students showcasing school values.
The STEM High School is a rigorous comprehensive high school located on the HVCC campus, where students come to earn their high school diploma and college degree at the same time.
Candidates who hold a certification in Social Work, or School Counseling are encouraged to apply.
Salary: $61,887 – $66,000 (salary commensurate with experience)
